Royal Sporting Anderlecht (1908) is the biggest club in Belgium. The soul of the club has been defined by nice and attractive Football. To win is important but to win with nice Football is essential. RSCA is the most experienced club of the country with 29 Championships, 9 National Cups and 8 National Supercups. RSCA was also a big club in Europe playing 4x the Final of the European Cup Winner’s Cup which they have won 2 times (vs West Ham Utd in 1976 and vs Austria Wien in 1978).
Anderlecht also won the UEFA Cup in 1983 vs Benfica, this match was played at the Heysel Stadium. The Dutch influence has always been there and the 2 most important players were Robbie Rensenbrink from Amsterdam and the best number “9” that ever played for Anderlecht; Jan Mulder! Today they both are still famous in Brussels. Other Dutch players were Arie Haan, Johhnny Dusbaba, Nico de Bree, Jan Ruiter and many others. The Dutch connection is still there today with Mark Boussouffa and Arnold Kruiswijk.
Anderlecht is the club of the Capital of Belgium with French and Flemish speaking citizens. Brussels is a muti cultural city and Anderlecht welcomes all Nationalities. For Anderlecht Tournaments like Torneo del Futuro are very important to learn from other teams and players. The U-11 were semi Finalists at Torneo last Year and look forward playing again at this great event!!
