It’s only 3 seasons since sv RAP started their Youth Department. It was when the initiator of Torneo del Futuro started to train with some great talents from Amsterdam on the beautiful pitches from sv RAP. Soon RAP became a nice team to watch and achieved some great results in only short time. Last season RAP played in the highest League vs teams like Ajax, Haarlem, Volendam et. RAP finished at the first place together with Ajax that had only a better goal difference to become Champions.
Since then many talented players wanted to join RAP and at the same time some players left to Professional Football clubs in Holland.
The big man behind this success is the trainer Hans Bergsma who has trained many talents in Amsterdam and prepared them for the next step.
The team of RAP participating at Torneo del Futuro is allowed to play with 2 dispensation players from 1996. In previous years RAP surprised Barcelona (winner of 2007) and Villarreal (finalist 2008) with a well deserved 0-0 but teams like PSV, Shakthar Donetsk and Sparta lost their matches vs the talents of RAP.
We are sure they will do well again this Year with nice Football in Fair Play.
